Switch to New Archery, could solve many issues.

- 2h does reduce parry, but this is wasted on a Hunter. Its natural enemies do not have parry.
- Multiple attackers do not reduce evade. I tested this on live. I would love for some one to prove me wrong. - Hunters did have parry in the beta. All "rogue" classes did, but the Hunter seems to be the only one that was actually balanced for it (chain armor, too). There is even an old Hunter item on Uthgard with +parry on it. /sperg

So multi targets doesn't reduce evade on uthgard ? I could swear i seen somewhere on the forums about that. And you have too look at the full picture. Yes duel wield reduces evade, but when facing someone with parry, they will parry more then evade, as you can get bonus to parry by spec and RA. Vs a ranger it will not help you, but those who do parry , you will benefit. Just like it will benefit a ranger when facing an assassin, but not as much vs a warrior or other classes with higher parry. Also dual wield does reduce blocking, but since blocking is the third defense down the line, someones blocking would be lower, if they had parry and evade. But all this is assuming that your pet isn't dropping ones evade.

It might take you over, but you wouldn't reach the cap without it. So your pet should reduce there evade, your 2H reduces the parry of your enemy and your pet will reduce your enemys parry also, as additional attacker. |

My testing on live did not show any reduction in evade with a second attacker. After 1500 attacks the evade rate was the same as it had been with only one attacker.
Like I said, if some one wants to test this on live I would love to be proven wrong. Maybe I parsed the log incorrectly. Maybe I forgot something.

well maybe that changed during the removal of the dual wield penalty to evade, 2H penalty to parry. But if you tested it on live, then that is how it is, on the current live. What you need to find out is, when did it change, and if it was after 1.69, then use that to get it changed.

I posted TL guides and a Mythic "Q&A." Your grab bag quote is new to me, but there's yet another source I could have used.
The staff will not change anything based on those sources. Its testing only.

How are parry, evade, and block affected by multiple enemies? "Your chance to parry and evade attacks is reduced to some extent when attacked by multiple enemies. The specific value of this reduction is unknown. " During Patch 1.9+ (4-2009) What did you exactly do on live to test this? |

I had a Hunter attack for 2000 swings, and then I summoned the pet and the two attacks together. The target's evade rate did not change significantly between tests.

What was the target, assassin or another target with high evade to see a change. And what was the % of evade chance with one attacker , then what was it at the end with two attackers.

It was the same target in both tests. No change in equipment. Shadowblade with ~45% chance to evade with one attacker, and ~45% chance to evade with attacker and pet.

This thread is completely useless.
Only when every bug related to archery (rf, proc, arrows weight etc.), to archer classes (hunter pet and charm spells, volley, etc.) and to melee system (WS, defence penetration, etc.) on uthgard we can talk about balance/imbalance for archers. First fix the bugs, then we can talk about balance all the time you want Eclipsed. But first FIX the damn bugs we already have! And this should be the priority even first old ras. ![]() |

Fix all the archery related bugs, then switch to 1.69 and old Ras, with that stealth system. Then we can talk about balance for the archers.

lol, Like that CS from stealth vs a camo enemy ![]() I did look for you, but had no luck after awhile, so i left DF to change spec , as i was wanting to do. If you check your log, youl see i did not evade, even once, while you evaded one of my attacks once lol. I also see you only had BC buffs, as i only had PF. If i didnt CS at the start and your pet did a little more then 15-20. You would of had a better chance. Spear damage wasnt too bad, hitting for 175 sometimes, vs PD3. While i hit for 60-90s with styles. I bet you came back with as many buffs as you could get. Even though i was not buffed, and prob would of faced you without additional buffing. It makes it more exciting, and cheaper. Good Fight though.
Ya i know that the likely hood of seeing this change, was a long shot. But i thought id just bring it up for discussion anyway. |

a point every "Archer" (not that wanabe-melee´s with stealth) seems to forget...you lose volley for keep-fights (relict-fights).
actually those real archers has a use at those raids with volley at 15 sec-reuse...with back-patch to old RA´s + 1.69 we lose that tool into the RA´s on a 15 min timer. just to add a point more on the con-side of the upcomming change ![]() i miss my Lady....
