I had to dig this one out! It was buried under 2 months of threads. I was looking for the bow damage thread but I will just have to work with this one. :D

This thread started almost a year ago... 8O

This one is 4 years, 2 weeks, 6 days Old. Procs on archery must be very difficult to do, for being delayed this long. Hopefully it will not be too much longer. For now we got are unique bows without usable procs, and only a little slower draw time (Doesn't increase Damage Over Time). Compared to other unique melee weapons with unique procs or charges that have some use.

And another Bump from me.

From what it seems, the whole thing is being ignored all together and probably has to do with the Rangers. :D
The detaunt style and evade rate, was fixed in matter of days when reported, because couple of people complained that rangers were using it and benefit from it. (No matter ALL the others were using it too and still do so they can raise their block rate - Minstrels for example).

Can you imagine what will happen if we get bow procs and start killing people on a single crit shot? No matter if Hunters and Scout could do the same. Rangers will be too OP for it. :lol:

There is a few unique bow drops on uthgard that has procs. And just like some of the melee weapons with unique procs, the proc on some is what makes them valuable. So without working bow procs, it de-values unique bow drops. Yes some do have longer delay draw time, but the difference between 5.5 and 5.7 in speed, is only a bonus on the first shot. After that the dps of the bow will be the same. So working procs on unique bows would make them stand out from crafted bows or non proc bows.

And for now i do believe crafted bows with procs placed on them, should not work, as they are too easily made and i was not able to find proof of them working on live.

fixing archery has been discussed to the ends of reason and sanity on this forum. several staff have replied that archery in general is scattered all over the tracker list, but it seems it is low priority next to the major RvR revamp in progress. Uthgard has hundreds of open bugs but only one or two coders on staff at any time. playing a server with no paid staff equals patience is a virtue :P

maybe if someone sends blue 20 million euro he can retire and have more code time. any volunteer?

It will get worked on at some point. We just have to keep bumping and don't yell at them. Just need to make sure we are still waiting for this fix.

Don't know why you all are QQing about this here...
Bows do crap damages here(but not for Tzaaa) and the Procs on bows were implemented with Darkness Rising patch=not classic setup=no fix about that.
You'de better ask for fixing item with proc ,to get charges on it.

Bow procs wouldn't be fixed anyways, as it improves the already "OP" Ranger. :wink:
