Your left weapon damage is only determined by the spec of the respective weapon line:
If you are using a blade weapon offhand the left hand damage is determined in your spec in "Blades". If you are using a blunt weapon offhand the left hand damage is determined in your spec in "Blunt". If you are using a piercing weapon offhand the left hand damage is determined in your spec in "Piercing". |

wouldnt one way to varifiy this, is to go on live, and check the damage cap on low lvl mobs. That way youl see the exact damage for both main and offhand and how the spec effects the base damage, espicaly for LA.

No, damage cap has nothing to do with spec - your base damage cap is always the same if you have 1+0 or 50+20 because it's static depending on your level, DPS and SPD. Uthgard till 2003!

umm what. Are you talking just about LA or about base damage, because i know base damage is determined by lvl, dps, and spec. Or at least the last time i tested it. Since base damage is the max possible dmg you can do, but then you have to throw in absorb, af, resist of your enemy, there lvl, your damage stat and so on.

Base damage is the damage you do unstyled. It's modified by enemy eAF, resists, armor type, your own eDPS, eSPD, WS and so on and limited by the base damage cap - kind of min{<instert big basedamage formula>, <basedamagecap>} I remember basedamage formula was the roughest part in DOL history. Uthgard till 2003!

Ya i know all that, i was talking about the base damage cap, and that i believe its effected by the spec you have in your weapon type. But id have to go test it again, to be sure of it.

Its affected by weapon speed , quic stats of the char , qual/cond of the weapon . Spec has nothing to do with it, spec will affect style dmg only .
Yes, but all of you should know that Laxe styles get to have a v high growth rate, doublefrost at my toon gets to have a 85% style growth for anytimer, while merc with ametist slash at same stats etc gets it around 60% max:). Last edited by Glacius on Jan 02, 2010 00:00, edited 1 time in total.
