I believe I've heard about this error involving .net Framework before, but I have 4.6 installed currently. When I run the Uthgard Launcher it quickly provides an error box with the following: Updater was unable to connect to Uthgard: The underlying connection was closed: An unexpected error occurred on a receive. Thanks.

I'm on a 64-bit Vista OS... I hope that's not the issue. I'm trying to uninstall and reinstall .net Framework 4.6 just to cover all my bases, but I'm not feeling too confident. Any other ideas anyone?

Maybe this will give you some useful info: https://www.ssllabs.com/ssltest/viewMyClient.html And also this one: https://www.howsmyssl.com/ But it's probably only using the browser TLS 1.2, which can be different from what the OS supports. Maybe try accessing https://uthgard.org in the OS's default browser, and see what happens. Be nice. :)

The fact is that Windows XP does NOT support TLS 1.2 and Microsoft no longer provides support and maintains up-to-date libraries on Windows Xp and Windows Vista for TLS. With this problem Uthgard loses all XP and Vista-based community. Many solutions: Install at least Windows Seven on your machine ... Instal a third-party SSL solution (good luck) Ask the staff to allow TLS 1.0 connections on the server (at least to be able to retrieve launcher data) OR unsecured connections for launcher data. Don't play Uthgard. I think that's pretty much everything
