I can't log ONE of my characters. All others toons work with no problems, only my main toon give me a crash to desktop before zone loading.

The first time I got this problem, I asked to a friend to log my account (omg, I'll be banned for this? ) and he had no problems.

So it was a problem of my installation.
After a fresh install of daoc, it worked again.

This time, I've tryied to uninstall=>install daoc again, with no success.

I can log every character of my account.. except my main (the only that I use )

Anyone got the same problem?
Any chance to recover my main... without re-roll it again?

PM me the account and name of your character i'll move it see if you can log it in after.or do a callgm requesting this on an alt.

If you're using 1.111 you must downgrade to 1.109 for the time being until we finalize support. An announcement will be made on the homepage when this is complete.

I've tryied to uninstall=> install the game again, with no success.

I've changed game.dll , patch, log and relog... after few hours it works again.
The next day, it happen again. After some login, it works again.

It's not a problem of location or stuck (a friend o' mine logged my toon ).

Had the same problem with one of my chars.
My solution was rather simple then. Copied the game folder --> changed the daoc prortal to start from there --> could log in again

Mine is doing it as well. Just did a fresh install. Let it patch all the way and then downgraded to 1.109. Threw on classic patch and any toon that gets near the camelot hills to camelot area crashes (may crash other places, not sure). If I try zoning from camelot to camelot hills, crash. If I approach from CS to the area, crash.

Any thoughts?

Hi all. I have the same problem... I can log the other character of my account but not the main; I Ido it the game crashes for a "game.dll error". I have change game.dll (game version 1.95 to 1.107) but nothing. Please help me.

same here : tried to log in today but both toons on camelot city won't log and one third toon on black mounts south neither.

The charging screen goes 100% then sticks there and won't change to the game/UI.

Even tried to double log to verify if the toon was bugged but the game connection screen did not stop with account already logged in info (game crashing while zone loading ?).

Tried to create a second account on midgard to see if this is based on the account but won't finished loading to the in game either . neither would a toon on hib :'( ...

I already tried to undo all uthgard patches, patch to 1.111 live and back to 1.109 + redo patches but won't help (used to work once).

did not try yet to move the daoc or portal folder.

Confirming that I can't login to affected characters even with v1.109

Unfortunately, ALL of my characters lv25 or higher can't login... This is across 3 accounts, 3 realms and affecting 4 characters.

2 of my mids are logged off in Jord, the level 28 one can't login, the level 8 (i forget exactly what level, might be 12 but, def lower than 25) can log into Jord.

This problem is caused by a certain anti virus scanner. Try to login when switched off and you will know.

No virus scanner is running when this happens.

This problem seems to have only come into effect in the last 7-14 days.

It would be an interesting anti-virus program that picks which characters I'm allowed to login as.

i thought this was caused by a corrupted charname.ini file or a bad UI

try changing the skin to Atlantis and logging in again.

I that fails, rename INI for the affected character so that it builds a new one.

INI here on Win 7:

C:\Users\%username%\AppData\Roaming\Electronic Arts\Dark Age of Camelot\LotM

I think I have established that it is not a server issue though. Tried logging in DAOC on another computer with one of the affected characters and it worked.

The exact same problem was reported some days ago:

And it was Symantec software which messed up with DAoC.

I uninstalled SEP from my laptop and I can log into that char again.

sounds like out dated UI's
