Will stealth auto train for a hunter as well? or is it only limited to shadowblades?

Shadowblades have stealth like the other assassins. The bowmen have their bowskill as autotrain afaik.

Funny question .... because Mythic decided it.
Or, maybe becuse of spear, self buff and pet, maybe because Mythic dev would make life harder in Midgard.
Best way to have a good answer is to take a look to TL report.

Regards,

Pirith.

There is a thruth in your words, i think, that spear does lots of dmg, and the pet is really fast on uthgard. Ive set garotte in it, but it was still faster then me, and ive been sprinting.

PS. Garotte has an unresistable 70% snare.

Sure spear is, for a stealther, a good option, could be thrust or slash also.
But putting more than 29 in spear mean lower buff, lower in bow etc.

Also mid hunter have the shortest range of fire between all bowfighter.

Last point, if the unbreakable snare from critical strike spec line have no effect on the pet, it's maybe(certainly?!) because the pet is nothing else than a mob. And as you know, many things have no effect on mob.

So there is player think the hunter must have more thing or a autotrain (when the ranger got a self strenght buff that growth is weapon damage output, and also autotrain). Some others think is too powered.
Personnaly i think except bow range, that's a way to play that choosing a hunter.

But we are completly out of the subject.

Best regards,

Pirith.

PS : Followed by achile heel, with weapon slow effect.

Well the point with autotrain is that it wasnt intendet for advanced players to tweak some more skillpoints. The main reason was to help new player to skill their characters. More like: You are a bowmen, skill your bow. This is the reason why Albion has the most classes with autotrain, because it was considered as 'Beginnerrealm'. Mythic knew that most of the newer player will chose it. With /level 20 AT was more or less removed because the original reason of autotrain was not longer there.
So you have to see the question 'Why does that char have AT and that char not' from that point of view.
In my oppinion they should have removed AT completely, but it would have spoiled the old characters, so they kept it.
Today AT is more or less a possibility to get a few skillpoints if you gimp you char while leveling.

To the hunter. On live servers with all their buffbots the hunter might have a bit hard time but evern there the pet is quite handy. The range of the bow will make the famous towercamping a bit harder but its no really big deal. Hunter have the pet. Ranger the damage add and scouts the longer range (and slam, if you are not towercamping ;) ).
The 77 points from AT are no really big differences. More or less they are just 2 points in stealth. The only point is to get the weapon to 29 instead of 28 with it for a new style for example.
On uthgard it is really different. Not buffbots here. The selfbuffs makes the ranger and hunter a lot superiour to the scout. In my oppinion (which might be quite wrong because i play on Albion here) they are not quite balanced on uthgard because on liveserver those stealther are balanced towards buffbots.
Well you might say Daoc is a group game but stealther have been different all the time they do rvr most of they time solo or with other stealther so in my oppinion it does matter.

Hunter havn't ANY autotrain. Nothing wrong with it. Go back to a live even a "US" one and you will see.

Best regards,

Pirith.
