Hey guys, I used to play on Uthgard a while back with no problems but cant seem to get it working on a new PC now.

I downloaded Darkness Rising from http://daoc.goa.com/en/ under "Complete Games".

I let it patch all night, over 3 gigs. Then I downloaded Portal and altered the settings appropriately to connect to Uthgard.

I typed in my username and password, hit connect. Just before the loading bar finishes it says my password is incorrect (which is obviously not correct as I'm posting on these forums with the one I'm entering) then pops up an error window that says:

"The client could not connect to the server specified. Either it is not online, or you used a wrong ip/port. If these are not the reason, you may try to update your client to an EU version, as this error is also displayed if the client is not supported by the server.

Ping google.com: success"

It says I'm using version 1.91.
Any ideas?

None besides that you may have mistyped your password when you created your account.

Oh, maybe you havent created an account yet, then there is actually an account with your accountname.

How can I go about retrieving the password?

Ok, I sent one of them a PM but I figure I'll try my luck in the IRC channel too..... but now I cant connect to IRC!

I downloaded IRC, pressed "add" in the servers menu and pasted in the IRC Channel info for Uthgard, now it says I can't connect. Is there a special port I need to use or something?
