Okay, I've spent hours now updating a client of Darkness Rising to version 1.91.

I have the DAOC Launcher program.

I have framework 2.0 installed. I have changed my update.dat file to say

Mythic Patch
patch.daoc.net:1280/updates/darkness/mpatch.dat
patch.daoc.net:1280/updates/darkness/mpatch.dat

Still getting this error.

Please help! Thanks!

you have to create a folder "loader" in your game folder and unpack the launcher you downloaded into this folder.

once you have done this, you should have 3 files in that folder

connect.bat /dol loader.exe and a text file

the last line of the connect.bat you edit like this:

DOLLoader game.dll 89.238.64.166 10300 20 loginname password

thats how it works for me

the easiest way i guess is simply using daoc portal

install>file>settings>chose the path to your gamefolder>close>pick Uthgard fron the server list > enter login name and password >connect >voila
