when I try to log on through daoc portal starts but at the end of almost launching exits with this message unable to connect wrong password press esc to exit screen. then daoc portal gives me this error service not available The client could not connect to the server specified. Either it is not online, or you used a wrong ip/port. If these are not the reason, you may try to update your client to an EU version, as this error is also displayed if the client is not supported by the server.

I have the thread right in the update file. I am using the correct password. Got in only once that was to create character but after that never again. Anyone point out what I am doing wrong. Is the server down.

=> you provided the wrong password for that account. Check if you mistyped the password (case sensitive!). If you just created the character and did not level up, maybe it's more easy to create a new account than to contact the GMs for password recovery. If you chose to do so, check that you can quit and log in again
