I just downloaded and installed the trial version of DAoC, then downloaded the ToA expansion and installed it. I updated the update.dat to update from the EU servers and then patched up to latest version. My problem is that when I load DAoC Portal and try to login, my screen goes black and my computer freezes (although I can still move cursor). I tried completely uninstalling DAoC and re-installing from scratch, but that did not fix the problem. When I load DAoC without using the Portal, it loads just fine and I can log in with a friend's account. What could cause this? I have not seen any other posts addressing this issue, but maybe I'm not looking in the right places. Thanks for any advice you might have.

Hi Mate,

try to install Darkness Rising or Labyrinth of the Minotaur. Mythic doesn't support TOA any more so the patches doesn't work correctly.

I've never experienced problems with Portal with any of my PCs. I think its just the TOA version that doesn't work.

those partitioned installers dont work well anymore. your best bet is to get the full all inclusive installer from the portal website. this will work flawlessly.
