Hi,
Everything was working fine last night, but today when I log on the game keeps going to the Windows desktop. 1. Hit "Play!" button on webpage 2. Game splash screen come up (orange one with the three realm characters drawn) and Loads. 3. Game goes into the background and I get the Windows Desktop 4. The game is running. If I click on its icon on the taskbar, I see a flash of the character screen and then it goes back to the Windows Desktop. I tried rebooting, signing out abd back in, and different launch settings. The game seems to be on-line because it shows 35 players playing in the browser. Account Chooser shows my characters before I launch. Any ideas? |

I think it may be a graphics problem because if i over over the game I see my last character rendered in the character creation screen, but there is no background... just black.

Solved!
I installed and logged in from a different computer. When I came back to the original computer, it worked fine. |

OK,I played for about a day and now it happened again. The work-around of logging in from another computer didn't work this time. This time it happened when I alt-tabbed to get into discord then could not get back into the game (even after rebooting and trying my work-around above).
So, I cannot play from this computer and my other computer isn't really good for playing long-term. |

Your issue seem to happen when you alt-tab from full screen.
There are few things you can try. 1. Ingame do /clientsleep none (basically your games goes into a sleep state, but when you try to wake it up, it doesn't want to, so you turn off the sleep mode) 2. Run in windowed mode, or 'fullscreen-borderless-windowed-mode' (no reason to alt-tab in the first place!) 3. Refresh your settings by deleting user.dat in appdata ea folder (make a backup of the file first is adviced!) 4. Manually change the Graphic Adapter in the user.dat file away from your external, to your internal gpu. |

keep UI set to atlantis and see if it goes away.
