Master account?

This may seem like a dumb question, but what is the difference between a master account and a non-master account? I ask because of the rules below..
ok.. seems straight forward enough. but then..
So.. this leads me to believe that while there may be 1 master account, we can have multiple non-master accounts. Otherwise, why does this rule exist? If this is the case, how do you go about doing that? |

INSIDE a master account you can have many accounts in one or multiple realms, but you are allowed to have ONLY ONE master account.
If you need more accounts to make more characters use the + button next to the play button and will show another button named account chooser, here you can create more account inside the master account. It's the thrill of the chase
and I'm coming after you. |

Oh.. thats cool. I wouldn't mind tinkering around in the other realms, but im worried about this..
This seems to indicate you are not allowed to play on more than 1 realm. I can equate that the Realms button in the character screen fills the first part of that rule, but wouldnt making a second account and making a new character on a different realm be seen as "bypassing the restriction"? |

You can switch realms (after a 48 hour delay). This switches your Master account and all sub accounts so you wont be on two realms at the same time. Gil DaTroll - Merlin Zerker | MacDeath - Uth1 Armsman | Gil - Uth2 Zerker | Macdeath - Uth2 Armsman

Ah, that makes sense. How would you go about doing that? Does that mean i dont need to make a new sub account to switch realms? (or is that how you swtch, make a new sub account for each realm?) |

You do not need to have any Sub accounts to play in 2 (or 3) realms. One master account can have characters in all 3 realms but you can only play characters in one realm at a time. You can change realms in one of two ways: The first and immediate way is to delete all pre-existing characters on your current realm. Then close the game completely and reopen it. The second way is to initiate a realm transfer by clicking the Realm Transfer tab at the bottom of the "Manage Account" page. This process takes 48 hours, and during that time you can continue to play on your existing realm, except for the last 8 hours of the transfer. I think they changed it to last 2 hours
