I just tried to find out if Infiltratoes have a 65% offhand swingcap here on Uthgard or not. Unfortunately, I could not find definitive statements for Uthgard or 1.65.

That's why I did a self-experiment:

My Infi Lvl 49 has 46 + 12 in DW and also Dualist Reflexes 2. This results in a DW chance of 70.44 % according to the well-known formula

Actual DW = 25+ (DW skill * .68) + (dual ref. Lvl * 3)

I then did some un-styled attacks on the training dummy in Cotswold for about 45 minutes and had a chat log written. I evaluated this chat log and got the following result:




If I am not completely wrong, I have hit to about 55% offhand. Of course, a total of 1,500 hits are not much for a correct statistical analysis, but the trend should at least be recognizable.

How come I'm 15% below the calculated DW Chance and still 10% below the cap, if it exists? Has anyone got an idea?

Intresting, think Spymistress have same feeling about CD for NS's.

I havent done the maths on your figures, but are you taking into account the misses on your off hand in your duel wield chance?
From tests I have done v the training dummy I will miss approx 10% of the time when auto/unstyled swinging.

a good friend gave me the hint that it might make a big difference if you hit styled or unstyled. So I did a second series of tests (same environmental conditions) with styled strokes.

Here are the results:



This time I get an offhand swing rate of 57.49% compared to 53.44% in the trial without styles. So there does not seem to be much difference here.

Bicstor, you're right, I did not consider the off-hand missrate. The training dummy is orange for me (I'm Lvl 49), how high would the missrate be there? If it really is about 10% (my Chatlogparser seems to be completely wrong in the missrates), this would of course lead to the 65%, where possibly the cap should be.

More ideas for this?

As for my experiance, levels make a huge difference here on Uthgard.

At Lvl 50 v the training dummy, with unstyled swings i think its around 89% hit chance, might be a little less, Im going from memory. As for how much your level will make a difference I have no data for that.
But that miss rate is for my characters, but is roughly the same(+/- 1%) across my sb/warrior/skald
