I started playing when Uthgard first relaunched. I played for awhile, got my skald (Raishin) to 50 and tempted.

After some time away, I have returned. I tried to redownload and install the Daoc Portal from DoL, but ran into an issue. I couldn't install because it required me to be in Admin Mode, which being the only user on this computer I have full Admin access. I got a preinstalled Portal from the DoL forums. I tried to connect to the Uthgard server, but it wants to load up in version 1.0(something), so I tried to use a different game.dll file. Then it loaded to version 1.109, and hangs up at 95%, then I have to close the client. Some players said that Uthgard only connects through the Uthgard launcher.

I reeeaally want to play my lvl 50 characters. Does anyone know of a solution?

I have and the launcher works. I was wondering if there was a way to get the DoL Portal to work. That is what I used to play before, and therefore that is where my characters are.

We no longer support the DOL portal since Jan 2017.
You will have to login on our website to access the game server.

Well that's a complete bummer....

Logging in from the website is super easy after you do it once.
