Black screen in house/leaves on screen in Emain

Anyone else have this issue?
It manifests in two ways... When I'm in my house facing certain directions, the screen goes black until I face my character to a different direction. To access my vaults I need to basically look away from them and right click and just remember my housing layout. When out in Emain in RvR the leaves from trees will often pass over my entire screen and block my view even when I am nowhere near a tree. This happens when I'm in first person, third person, any type of zoom configuration. I haven't altered anything that would cause this to start happening. Will attach screenshots next time it happens. |

Is this new? Graphics card overheating? Sounds like a memory corruption to me.

Just started happening recently. I didn't change anything regarding the game that I know (maybe something in windows?) I might just try reinstalling the game after I double check graphics drivers. Not having an issues with any other games/my system in general. Here is a picture of when it just happened in Emain.  |

Update for anyone else who experiences this... update your graphics drivers.
I have an GeForce 760 and the last set of drivers seemingly caused it. I can now wander about my house with vision and not be a blind person. Sorry for the false alarm, hope it helps somebody else. I should have known! Always check the drivers! Edit - It worked for a moment. Logged in, went into my house, walked around and could see things. At one point I turned my view up a bit, it went into the ceiling, blacked out, and the issue came back. Will continue to chase down and update this if/when I find a solution. |

Do you run the Discord Overlay? I had multiple reports about it causing random black screens based on the viewing direction.

That is something I have started using recently. Will turn it off and report back. |

Just tested it - fairly sure this is indeed the issue. Apparently the overlay has caused similar issues/crashing in other games. I'll keep it off for now and see what happens but a few minutes of testing has solved the issue. It sure was interesting learning how to use my house based on certain viewing directions  |
