Today I was logged in for hours playing with not problems. Then I started getting a red square in the middle of my ping meter and started to lag all over the place with a lot of latency. I logged all the way out and try to log back in and get the following message:

**Unable to read data from transport connection: connection was closed**

The server is up

Nevertheless, usually I can play just fine with no lag issues. Is this a known issue?

If it matters, I am located in Virginia U.S.A. Thank you and great game!

Similar issues in California for me. Seems to start around 10AM PST (1900 CET), Lasts until 7PM PST. Have yet to find a solution other than doing something non DAOC related. My next character will be named Redsquare ErrorOccurred.

Almost certainly you are experiencing Network issues. Whn the server is very busy AND there is a lot of traffic coming from one direction (the west for example during NA primetime) you are likely to have these issues. Do a tracert server.uthgard.net and see where your issue is. Then you can ask your ISP to resolve the issue or you can use a VPN to bypass that busy node.
