Hey guys, hopefully I can get some help figuring out why Uthgard won't launch for me. I wen't through the "getting started" info, downloaded and updated the client, created an account for Uthgard, downloaded and updated the installer, and made sure I had net framework 4.6 and visual c++ redistributal for visual studio 2015 x86 (even tho my windows 10 is 64-bit). Finally I matched my camelot.exe with the Uthgard launcher and hit play button. The Uthgard logo comes up for a second, then disappears and nothing happens. For what it's worth I'm using chrome browser.

I also went and checked uthgard = false in the Local State file under c:>user>name>appdata>local>google>chrome>user data as per the instructions from the Uthgard blog under "Why The Play! Button." Uthgard was already set to false so that doesn't change anything I guess.

Could it possibly make a difference since I installed daoc and uthgard to my E drive (1 TB hdd) and chrome is installed in my C drive (128 GB ssd)?

Wish I could post imgur links of my issue, but the forum won't allow me since I'm a new user, but if you add this to imgur you can see what shows up under my "network" tab when I run the inspect command on chrome and hit the play button. Add /a/2srCb to imgur . com to see results, I don't know why the status says "cancelled."

Also I have excluded uthgard.exe from malwarebytes and windows defender, any other files I need to exclude that may confuse my antivirus?

Also tried turning my chrome plugins off to launch Uthgard, no luck. Aaand it doesn't work on IE either.

Also tried allowing uthgard.exe through my firewall, even tried disabling firewall.

Not sure what is going on, seems like something is preventing uthgard.exe from launching. I followed the directions step by step. Any help will be much appreciated, thanks!

I have never had an issue getting into Uthgard. Like you I use chrome so that isn't the issue. I have windows, chrome AND Uthgard installed on the same SSD. If you have room on your SSD for Uthgard, I reccomend installing it there. I run Windows 10 but my wife runs Windows 8.1 and all works fine for her.

When it hangs for you, open task manager... do you see Uthgard Launcher as a running App? Then you're probably in a login queue and you SHOULD see a small window showing your progress in the queue. It's possible that this little window is BEHIND some other window so minimize all other windows to see it.
Do you see Uthgard.dll running as a process? If so end it and try to relaunch. It MAY be that it got stuck somehow and it wont let you launch a second one.

Hope that was helpful.

When I click play, I see uthgard.exe show up for a second in my task manager before it disappears like it closed itself. Seems like something is closing uthgard.exe as soon as it launches.

Someone on IRC recommended opening port 10030 for my problem, think that would help? I'm not too tech savvy so it will take me awhile to figure out how to do so if it is relevant to my issue.

One more thing, when I run the .net framework repair tool it gives me this report:
