Paladin endurance chant radius

The current radius on Uthgard is 1000 for the endurance chant.
Though I have already submitted this miss-function I would also like to address you attention to this matter as it highly effects Albion groups performance in RVR. In addition to that the same issue has been risen from someone else and FALSELY has been marked as INVALID after some users whined about and managed to miss lead the development team. Unless there is an intent to further increase the advantages of the other two realms concerning endurance regeneration, the issue must be resolved according to 1.65 standards. Just go to official camelotherald > Patch_Notes > Version_1.53 and search for 'paladin' you will immediately see the change to 1500 radius there. Also I would like to point out that a user managed to miss-lead the developer by pointing to a wayback machine archive site. The indication of the daoc version on that, is at the left of that page, inside "State of the Realm" box. This was live feed information, comparing to static information that displays the paladin spell list can under certain circumstances lead to wrong conclusions. The reason for giving more value to wayback machine over the official game patch archive wiki escapes me. ![]() |

1. wayback machine vs official camelot herald and you pick wayback machine as more valid. ok... 2. IGN thread doesn't mention patch version unless I've missed it. Also is dated Feb 2003 hence I doubt 1.53 was out. 1.83 changed it from 1500 to 2000 not from 1000 to 2000. Dont confuse 1.83 with 1.53 |

Very well said. |

Agree with that as i said a lot of time
Reponened an issue, far too important for rvr to be missed. Issue 1546 |

Why does this keep coming up?
It's really obvious: In 1.53 the Paladin chants they already had were increased to 1500 range. They were also given a new endurance chant. That does not mean that the new endurance chant was also 1500 range.
You think Wayback is like someone re-writing old stuff? It's literally a snapshot of websites from different times. It has nothing to do with DAoC, you can use it to look at anything it might have captured. It clearly shows the herald displaying the range as 1000 back in 1.65 and until 1.83. The strongest evidence of all is the Team Lead report of 1.62: http://web.archive.org/web/20040329055353/http://vnboards.ign.com/DAoC_TL_Reports/b22181/52886564/?0
That is not some rando on a forum complaining about something they don't understand, it's the class team lead. Unlike the 1.53 patch note, there is no ambiguity to that statement. He clearly says its not 1500 range and they would like it to be 1500 range. I want Paladins to be more useful as much as the next Alb but it's not going to happen this way. Is there 1 person spamming bugtracker with 3 or even more accounts ?
/me ponders Even with 1500 range paladins will have a very hard time. Last edited by GreenP on Jun 10, 2016 15:54, edited 1 time in total.

1.53 increased the range of all previous chants to 1500, while the new endu chant had 1000 range. Every charplaner, spell library or Team Lead report from that time lists it with 1000 range. Here you can see old patchnotes and the exact date the patch was introduced. The IGN discussion is from Feb 12, 2003 so it's clearly at 1.59 patchlevel, after your allegedly increase to 1500 with 1.53. |
