I have recently came to Uthgard as a Pre-SI DAoC Player and I am bringing a few old friends with me. 1 However is a special circumstance as he is paralyzed on his left side and plays with his mouse. He will be /stuck to me for most of the time as it is so much easier for him. I just want to inquire about rules of macro's as if I can make him macros to target and cast multiple buffs/heals/dots all that stuff I think he wouldn't be getting as frustrated as he is trying to be useful.

Another important factor is that he is my roommate and although we are on seperate computers we share the same IP and it did NOT ask him for his unique code when he made his account. Do I need to apply for a joint account from the same IP or how does that work?

Just trying to not get banned or break any rules so we can have some fun. He is really excited about getting back into gaming especially as this was his favorite one.

I am no GM so I cannot tell for the use of macros. I believe the game will especially look for macro programs to prevent cheating so be aware on that side. GMs will be able to confirm.

Regarding the code, just go in the launcher "Edit -> Preferences -> Sign out" to remove the token. Then put in the other token instead.

From what I understood you don't have to apply to anything if you are sharing the same IP. However, GMs will take a particular look at your two accounts to make sure none of them is being used as a bot. They may ask you to pass some tests as well. This may be a problem regarding the special circumstances of your friend but I'm sure they can make an exception (check with them) given you can prove that you are two distinct physical persons playing.

Once GMs know about you and your friend, they will be more tolerant but make sure that any of you two do not go AFK for an extended duration.

Thanks for the help. I am not trying to use any 3rd party programs for him to macro just wasn't sure if there was a way ingame to /macro a setup to just allow him a little bit of convenience when he is casting buffs or dots and etc. Single action macros help him hugely so i could only imagine he would be loving life if 1 mouse click can get him to fully buff us up or to cast a couple dots on a target we are focusing.

I also tried to have him copy his code and sign out (It says code is absent) but when he tries to connect it doesn't prompt anything for a code even though i saved it as absent code.

We don't go afk for long periods he just won't be doing much in game typing we are just talking in person and in a microphone chat channel. I already got him some macros for doing tasks and etc. I just don't want to get in trouble after we both invest so much time ya know? He is really into it which is a nice change of pace for him =)

I know right.. coming up with such a story just to use a buffbot. Incredible and it makes me wonder about peoples integrity as well. So poor.

Send a PM to a gm. If they believe you and I think they can come up with a test and might be testing you along your way there will be no problem. Asking in forum is just asking for troll comments (if you are not one yourself )

Not an issue for the beta since we're not enforcing rules as strictly.

But for the relaunch you might have to send us a copy of their certified disability record via a secure channel. Feel free to black out last names and other sensitive data, but make sure to include a piece of paper with "Uthgard" written on it in the picture. We can whitelist you then.
No need to do anything at this point, but in the future we might go along this route, since it otherwise might be difficult for us to distinguish macro users from someone with disabilities, and he might fail the check we usually do for determining if we are dealing with one or multiple people.

Thanks for the insight Krokrodil. When Uthgard goes live I will make sure I have all of what you mentioned if he is still interested in playing.

And for all the other trolling posts that offer no advice or suggestion. Jims paralyzed on the left half of his body. Only being able to freely move his right hand would make it much more difficult for him to type and interact with posts and etc on forums when I can do it with no impediment, its called human decency. Maybe you will develop it someday . I stated that in my first post that typing would be almost non-existent for him. and also.. if I wanted a buffbot why the hell would I raise the biggest red flag ever to multiple uthgard staff members?? just simply inquiring about my buddies unique situation as he had read something they made him feel like being /stuck to me could make him seem like a bot.
