Ok, i havnt played DAoC for quite a while (maybe 3 months (been busy with university)). Anyway, after reinstalling, ive lost the configuration for my controls. Ive set them nack up but i have a problem with the camera. Atm, i have it set up so that the camera pans left and right with the movement of the mouse; but I swear you can control the camera by depressing a mouse button (the right one for example), and by moving the mouse up and down as well as left and right?
If anyone could clarify that for me please, and/or tell me how to set it up? Ive been trying for the past day ![]() Thanks. <a href="http://herald.uthgard-server.net/daoc/sig.php?name=Kabalist&s=4">http://herald.uthgard-server.net/daoc/sig.php?name=Kabalist&s=4</a>

To modify key setting, where there are also the view rotation keys, type /keyboard in game or go in otpion in the choosing character window.
In defaul keyboard, you can move your camera pressing M 1 time and moving the mouse. Push M again to return to normal. You can also move camera pushing \ button and directional arrows. |

Ok I don't know WoW but maybe what you are looking for is 'mouse camera pan' (options screen). It allows to move the camera position around the char without changing the char's facing. I have it on 3rd (center) mouse button, had it on left for a long time but that caused target losses when the button wasn't held long enough (choose target is left mouse button, too). Both, camera pan and mouselook (which defaults to right mouse button afaik), should work in all dimensions, not just horizontally so I am a bit confused that you can move camera horizontally but have trouble "moving the mouse up and down"...
Hope this helps Setanta |

I think you could do in 2 way:
1- change M function with right click, so you can click 1 time, move camera, click again to stop that 2- In default setting you could move the camera by pushing ctrl (im not sure of this key) and moving the mouse, change ctrl function (or whatever key ave this function) with right click of mouse |

Ok, i figured it out. I dont know if anyone else would set up their controls as i have but ill try to explain anyway.
I wanted to be able to control the camera and character simultaneously. So when i pressed my right mouse button and moved the mouse up and to the left, the camera angle would also move up and to the left, along with my character's facing. At login screen, under 'Mouse Mode', it was set to Mouselook off, so when i tried to use the mouse on a vertical axis, it wouldnt work. I switched it to on and now when i move my mouse up, the camera also moves with it. Sorry if i havnt explained it that well but i havnt slept for the past 30 odd hours ![]() Well thanks for all of your responses, much appreciated!
