Hi All,

I'm hoping that someone will be able to help me to play the game again!

I played the game on Sunday without any problems, but on Wednesday I couldn't play due to intermittent freezing while in the game.
The freezing lasts about 1 second each time and during the freeze I cannot click on anything or use the right mouse to rotate the camera (right mouse click is not registered during this time), all 3 Ping o' Meters stay green during this.

My graphics card is an AMD 7970 running the latest drivers that was installed prior to Sunday.
I have posted a screenshot of the graphic card settings, maybe there is something selected that is causing a problem?

Hi All,

I've now had the opportunity to test a few other games on my pc and they all run fine, but the problem with daoc still persists.
I've installed the game on my wife's laptop and it runs fine, so it cannot be my internet connection.
If i get a chance today i will create a 14 day trial for the official server to see if it is daoc in general or just uthgard.

Any game masters able to help me out with solving this one please? Would a recording of the problem help?

I have the same problem using a 7850 and using the beta driver(13.10). Are you using the beta driver or 13.9 ? First appearance for me was on tuesday iirc.

Edit: On tuesday i was using an older version of the amd drivers (13.1). Just updated my driver yesterday.

The actual ATI/AMD drivers got problems with selected dx9 games, last working is 13.4. they are working on it as far as ive heard

I got lot of troubles too with last ati drivers on my hd5850.
Even with 13.10 beta.
For me, game freeze every time i was mouse panning + other problems.
Unplayable.

I got lot of problems on fall back older drivers too , but at the end i solved. The link from amd site forr download older drivers was not working, but on hd i ve found some 12.x drivers.

Installed and working now.

About the other games, i got skyrim too installed, and was working perfect with new drivers ...

Thanks Asuris, that has pretty much cleared it up, i've heard the same from other people as well!

I had the problem with 13.9 and the beta 13.10 drivers, i've rolled it back to 13.4 and the game works fine.

I did try this before but the amd uninstall program actually removed my sound drivers for my mobo as well which made me do a system restore and hesitant to try again without more caution.
Then i realised you can select which items you want to remove, so if you had a similar problem with the uninstall then you need to select custom when the uninstall runs and remove only ATI graphic drivers and the catalyst control centre. Then you can run the install for the 13.4 drivers.

I have raised a bug report with AMD through thier feedback section about it being unplayable in daoc (not a selectable game so type it in), so hopefully if enough people do it will get a fix for the next release.

i cant play too. got same drivers. where can i find the 13.4 drivers?. anyone know?

got same problem and did system restore back to catalyst 13.6 (13.101-130604a-158071E-ATI)

now i got no more problems

i saw in the beta driver changelog fps bug is fixed for WOW

but AMD_Catalyst_13.11_Betav8.exe also fixed the same fps bug in DAOC

I had the same problem with win8.1 and ATI mobility 5750HD, tried almost every main release from 12.10 to 13.11, even betas up to 13.11 v9.4: No luck
