The error has written:

Please specify the required arguments.
connect.exe "<path_to_game.dll>"<server[:port]>"<acc><pw>[<character><realm>]

this is after having successfully updated daocPortal. Running windows 7.

seems the path to daoc (game.dll) is missing/wrong
check the options
