Problem logging in

Hey! I have a weird problem logging in with my new laptop. I can log in a lvl 24 infi in an xp spot, but can't log lvl 50 theurg in emain or 50 char in Jordheim. It just crashes. New computer is running windows 8, dunno if it can matter or not. Would appreciate any help.
