I've been trying to play on Uthgard through DAoCportal and every 5 minutes or more frequently, I go linkdead. It's not the internet because my brother uses the same internet and his is fine. We sometimes play at the same time and it seems to make the problem worse. Also it's not that my computer cannot run it because it's worked fine in the past, just this week the problem has arisen. Any ideas on what it could be? please and thank you

Also some new and useful information. It's gotten worse, I log on and everything and get into the game, everything is fine; but once I try to move it goes link dead. And it comes up saying game.dll has stopped working or something similar.. anything?

Assuming your brother uses the same internet connection so that the only variable is your computer, have you updated the .net framework?

Any chance you might have installed an AV program lately or maybe if you do have AV it updated just recently? Also if you happened to have updated the daoc client it may have touched the game.dll. Normally the wrong version won't allow you to log in at all but it's a possibility.
My best guess since you're brother doesn't have the same issue and on the same network, the problem is locally on your system. Ask yourself what might have changed/updated since it was working. You could check the applications event viewer. It tends to be pretty vague but might have some clues on the cause. You can always copy/paste his game.dll to your machine.

It keeps saying game.dll has stopped working, and I don't have an AV, I have the right game.dll file, I run as administrator... I just have no clue...

What was the DAoC Version you patched the 1.109 dll over?
