password reset / connection help please

just got started tonight and for some reason I can't log in, i've tried making a new account but it just keeps saying invalid password or I haven't been invited to the server. Also my daoc portal won't let me select EU version (ive ran both as administrator and I have also downloaded the 1.09 dll ) I think thats what its called.... But I don't know what to do now
 could use some help please |

Did you replace the game.dll in the DAoC directory with the downloaded one?

yes ive added the new .dll and it keeps telling me either invalid password *which i know is wrong because i'm typing it in correctly* or its giving me * i have not been invited to the server* and thats when i try using the other account i made
