Sounds like a bug with duplicate code. But has to be tested whether missrate of bows = missrate handling of melee.

I'm not 100% for sure what bug is being talked about, but whoever is saying that you dont miss with your bow in PvE is WRONG. I miss mobs all the time when doing PvE and using my bow. I have 35+18 bow.

I talked to some scouts, who did dragonraids. they all told me they hit him 100%

than the 2nd and best example:

go to churiel, at his last form where hes blasting the pbaoe, just take some scouts or merc/armsman with xbow/shortbow. you hit him 100% (even no one is attacking him), no need get troubled with the pboae and the melee-missrates.

All scouts I´ve been asking tell me they miss the dragon

All I can speak for is myself, and I know beyond any shadow of a doubt that my ranger misses on the dragon and on all PvE mobs. I miss on dragon and thats with anywhere from 10-50 tanks and god know's how many shrooms hitting him. I cant speak for scouts or hunters, also, I do miss on churiels' last stage on my bm, but I will admit that I dont miss very much. I dont think I've ever done Churiel on my ranger but I doubt he would miss very often.

well i cant say whats with teh dragon

maybe its kind of a tactic at churiels 3rd stage, but my merc/armsman hit clearly 100% him per shortbow/xbow, while no one is attacking him

churiel spawns, and kills jacksons' slave, NO melee will hit him, ALL spells get resisted, but (x)bow shots hit him perfectly before he despawns

PvE wise, archery doesnt seem to ever miss.

Personal experience:
Ive shot thousands of arrows in tajendi and never had a miss even vs boss mobs
Ive never had a miss vs Green Knight with probably another thousandish arrows tested.

PvE wise this does make archery quite OPed. A scout can easily out dmg a merc or reaver vs high level mobs because the merc will miss so much. Or more hilarious, an armsman with basically no xbow spec often does better average dps vs high level mobs by switching to xbow instead of whiffing with a polearm.

but in pvp where things actually mattter, archery misses all the time. most likely this has to do with the same pve issues mentioned in other threads where mobs have no inate defensive bonus whereas players wearing 35% bonus armor do.

The next time I do some PvE on my ranger I will post screen shots, but I miss on Warshades and those con yellow to oj to me. I also know that I miss on dragon. Maybe this is just an albion issue. Can any other rangers say that they NEVER miss with there bows in PvE?

I have only lowbie ranger with 7 in bow (AT) and i think my ranger never missed single arrow in PvE.

We took a Scout to Green Knight once a while back and he hit him 100%.

This is why bowmen were welcomed during raids (at least on live servers) miss rates are lower then melee as it once was on live.
I have mised shooting worm in DF.
I miss on keep lords aswell.
I will do a few tests with a new hunter.
ok I did tests with a 2x hunter on 50 doll out of 80 arrows zero misses 60 of them arrows were lowest quality 20 were top tier.
funny thing I didn't even see a damage difference. I know its not 2000 arrows.
Has any code been changed recently concernig arrows ?
I was reasonably sure that there was once a difference with damage, I also remember missing on my 50 hunter IE DF worm.
There does seem to be a bug ... come to think of it I can't remember the last time I missed a bowshot...

PS. the 2x hunter's bow was not enchanted

I would not call this a test, but I did Warshades the other night w/ 800 arrows and I was looking for some misses, but I sure didnt notice a single miss with my bow. Now these mobs only conned oj to me, but still. You would think in 800 arrows there would at least be a few misses.
