Hello!

im new here and this is my first post. Im currently playing a lvl 9 Infiltrator on your server and inoticed that the "slash" combat style "Ruby Slash" doesn't do anymore damage than a normal autoattack. In the infochart of the skill it says:

Weapon Type: Slash
Opening: Any
Fatigue Cost: High
Damage: 0.04
To Hit: No Bonus
Defense: No Bonus

soo... if the Damage is 0.04 and the fatigue cost high, thst skill is kinda useless, right? Same goes for Uppercut (lvl 6 slash skill).
Uppercut does, according to the infochart, 0.35 damage (hs a "To Hit" - Bonus though). In the combat lg it looks like this:

You perform your ruby slash perfectly! (+1)

but asides from that 1 point damage bonus the attack does normal attack damage. Am i missing something here, or are these skills completely useless? Not sure if this is a Bug, so i decided to ask first in the support forum.

Have a nice day

You're right. Ruby Slash is a "starting" style, available at 1 spec. It's almost uselees.
Uppercut is more useful. 0.34 is a Growth rate, it will a add an amount of damage depending on your slash spec, the swing speed and the base damage.

If u want detailed information about that, u can read this : http://www.classesofcamelot.com/other/styles/Styles.htm

The first style on live is declared as "starter damage" (there are no growth rates shown on live) where other styles have the value "low", "medium" or "high", and it always does +1 (if i remember correctly) no matter what weapon, skill or stats you have. The 0.04 is probably impelmented that you will always get the +1, but never higher.

I guess this style was implemented so you could "push" a button instead of doing nothing until you get your first useful anytime style at lvl4, 6, or 8 (depending on the weapon line).

Alright, thanks for the quick answers and the helpful link!
That pretty much answers my question, interesting that they implemented an almost useless starter style.

Its not useless, when u are dual wielding and only hit in attack mode its a chance that u only hit with ur off hand doing less damage, when u style u always hit with ur main hand.
