If you become irate, angry, wrathful, furious, ireful, wroth or indignent by anything that I say to you or just in general; you should always remember, it's only because I care that I pay attention in the first place.

Right click DAOCPortal -> Run as Administrator. In DAOC Portal choose File, Settings. At the top you see "edit client settings for" then a dropdown. Select the client you wish to manage (you can have multiple). We'll use #2 as an example.

Select #2 then set the path to the folder then hit close. In DAOC Portal, choose 'client' then 'Set active client' and select #2. After doing this you can then choose Client, Mod Manager and re-apply the Uthgard Mods (Craftfix, tajendi, classic patch)

Maybe I still don't understand but everytime I try to use the mod manager I get an unhandled exception error. I tried to right click and run as administrator and it doesn't let me. Is there a walk through of how to install the classic patch completely?

try going into the daoc launcher directory and run mod manager as administrator, then go back and patch in the actual portal as administrator.

go to your portal installed folder if you are running windows 7 then the default folder is C:\Program Files (x86)\DAoC Portal

right click on the following files and select properties, then click on the tab at the top that says compatibility. a the bottom you will see under privilege level the "Run this program as an administrator" option.. check that box.
click on apply, then on ok.
you will need to complete these steps for each of the following files.
modmanager.exe
portal.exe
updater.exe
and i dont remember if you have to do it for connect.exe, but it wont hurt anything if you do.

this will allow the above programs to make changes as needed to your protected game install folder.

hope this helps,

grum
