Nope, your wrong on that Holsten. Well, your sort of wrong on that, if they do the Master accounts that Blue talked about. In order to get away from people resetting their routers they will make you put all of your accounts under 1 Master Account. Then regardless of the ISP logging in it will make you wait X amount of time. Doing this would cause issues for those people that want to play other peoples extra accounts.

What is the difference to the actual handling of creating just x accounts (worst way one per char)?
Handle it with an email-address? No chance until you completely forbid known freemail-providers.
Handle it by the ip-address? No chance until you forbid 2 or more accounts from the same ip and kick all people sharing a flat or behind a shared router like my wife, my friend (75m to the next house) and me.

They only way to handle this correct is to identify the client/machine, which is not possible as far as I know the DoL-packets.

easy fix honetly, a 1 hour timer would make it so that you play 1 realm, if the action is bad then u log for an hour and come back on another realm. if you look at it live from classic up to toa only allowed ur 1 account to be active on 1 realm you would have to buy a 2nd to even do it. reguardless of puting a 15m timer for a 24h timer there will still be x-realm due to the simple fact of IRC, ts, vent, mumble, skype, etc. this would only slow the x-realm progress wich would still be nice.

I'm not a GM or a programmer Vanatic, so I couldnt tell you for sure how it would work. From what I have read on it (which it is in this forum somewhere if you want to look it up) it's basically going to make you apply all of your accounts to 1 master account. If more then 1 person lives in the house and also plays then you would each have your own master accounts. It doesnt take into account your isp as much as your Master Accounts. If you have 6 accounts (2 hib, 2 mid, 2 alb) then you would put all 6 under your 1 master account. Now if you played on one of your hib accounts you could switch to your other Hib account and not have to wait time. If you went from your Hib account to say your Alb account it would recognise that they are on the same Master Account and make you wait X amount of time before switching realms. Alot of people are throwing around 1 hour, but nobody knows for sure how long the timer would be. I'm guessing 15 minutes minimum to 1 hour maximum. As far as specifics of how it will work, I have no clue for sure, I'm just basing this off the responses about this from GM's and other people in the forums.

But thats the fact. You and me would do that like intended.
But the real xrealmer will have 3 master accounts (one per realm). So thatswhy I said thats no difference to the actual handling, except we can find a technical solution to handle misusing this.

I'm sorry. I dont want to be harsh. Every good solution just starts with a nice idea.

that is the problem... you can switch your ip as you like, you can get as many e-mail address as you like. So no way to identify a person as long as the accounts are for free.

i am totally with you that there should be a relog timer from realm to realm... but i don't see how this could be implemented.
