Regarding the merging of the information:

Yes, someone must indeed verify/validate that all quest text/steps are indeed there. They can be implemented with this text, but it is difficult/extremely time consuming if they are in different locations. I am also hesitant to ask folks to undertake the task unless there is a commitment and ability to complete all epics for all 3 realms. It doesn't make much sense to implement all of hib's epics if we cant do the same for alb and mid.

Jerrian wrote:Good work Badtzmaru, the steps look complete even the dialogues are written down.

But are they? The first example I clicked is incomplete.
http://camelot.allakhazam.com/quests.ht ... cquest=356
http://camelot.allakhazam.com/quests.html?cquest=297
http://camelot.allakhazam.com/quests.ht ... cquest=299

I've checked briefly the quests on the three sites and, (also thanks to my terrible understanding of german :D ) i have seen that only with allakhazam and valmerwolf, you get all the epic quests for Albion And Hibernia. Midgard would have missing only 4 on 50.
Checking Daocpedia, i've seen that most of their quest, have complete text reported in german.
What does this mean? It means that you have all the steps for all the 134 old epics but 4. And that you have also the complete text (mostly in english, some in italian and some in german) of all these 130 quests. I think that reinventig from scratch 4 quest it wouldn't be such a huge task. So should be inventig few lines of spoken stories told from the npcs in the missing text quests.
What i suggest i forming a task of 4/6 volunteers (i propose myself as one), and a coordinator from the staff.
They must all speak english, one is enough for italian, two or three for german.
You simply write down a scheme on how the data must be reported (in english) to be ready to be insterted into the server code (on .txr or on .doc or .xls os whatever) like this example:

Quest name:

<Step 1 npc>: Hero trainer named Donald Duck

(step 1 text): Do you ever miss Mikey Mouse? What about go and "rescue" him? ... ...

[step 1 quest log]: Go to Goofy in Mousetown ant talk to him about Mikey

And the job for the volunteers is created, clear and simple to be done.
The volunteers should also reinvent the text where only the steps are present, without narration.
When you will have all the data organized this way, you will lack only 4 mid's quests on 134, and maybe
the story of those quests could be invented by the volunteers as well.
Once the data is archived, is up to the staff (we know the staff works for free, with members subtracting time from their lifes) to insert the quests in 2-3-4-5-6-etcetc months.
It's just a matter of finding a bit of good will at the start, so to make the project "Old Epics" start
On Uthgard 1.0:
Totenpfeil <Ranger> - Vlath <Hunter> - Toten <Eldritch> - Totentanz <Skald>
On Uthgard 2.0:
Totenzweig <Druid> - Totentanz <Skald>

hands and gloves rarely get hit, and for looking good the rare ablative for a paladin don't matter a lot. switch the chest for pve if you desire.

I think it `s not the problem to build a temp with the stats, it `s just stupid to have no reproc on it.
But well, it seems staff has another opinion about my suggest, it `s a pitty.
I still think it was a very good idea to bring much more visible style to uthgard without any real cons /shrug. :- /

I like your dry humor Abydos .-D

Ok, I was bored and checked inet for you and found and old thread at uth forum, with same problem, epic quest is uncomplete at Zam but there are no other sites with full detailed steps in web.

Only solution I could imagine is to find an old daoc version/server where the old epic is already implemented and check these steps and copy it, much work for ... ehh sure quests that everybody wants and like to do muhaha, sorry can `t help it :-D.

Ok ok, in my opionion, it `s really a better idea to take full concentration in completing Shrouded isles instead of saddle a dead horse. Thx for paying attention and answering my post anyway ,)

Best Regards
Megrim
