I downloaded DAOC Portal yesterday and tested it a few times to make sure it worked. Originally it was in windowed mode and worked fine. I then changed the settings to full screen in the options in char select.

Today, I log in fine, select my server and log in. Everything works fine (I see the load bar, etc..) As SOON as the char select screen appears the game automatically alt-tabs itself back to my desktop. When I click on the game tab at the bottom of my screen it loads back up and immediately alt-tabs itself again.

I am playing on a laptop with an external monitor with Windows Vista (64)

Any help/suggestions would be greatly appreciated!

I had the problem too.You may not have any tabs minimized like browser,daoc portal etc. etc. then it should work.
