Ok, I am sure every one has heard lots about DAoC portal launcher not working - I've looked on alot of fourms and have not found info on how to get a certain issue fixed. I have portal launcher loaded on my wifes computer DAoC is installed & patched as soon as I double click the portal laucnher I get an error message that reads Portal.Exe Fatal Error CLR Error: 80004005 The program will now terminate.

-Here is what I have done, uninstalled and delete the entire DAoC Portal folder and reinstalled. Restarted the computer, uninstall/reinstall again, ensured that it is in admin mode and useing admin rights.

-System OS - Windows XP X64 bit
the rest of the system is way over the req to run labby and my computer is the exact same specs just Window XP 32bit and I have no issues. Any info would be much appricated. Thanks

(Please forgive any bad spelling, this is something im not great at).

Ok, after many hours of work I have fixed the issue with the error code - it was a .net frameworks issue. Now when I try and start it I get another error that I am unsure of it also looks like a frameworks issue but frameworks is working on the computer now. The info is as follows

System.Configuration.ConfigurationErrorsException: Configuration system failed to initialize ---> System.Configuration.ConfigurationErrorsException: Unrecognized configuration section system.serviceModel. (C:\WINDOWS\Microsoft.NET\Framework64\v2.0.50727\Config\machine.config line 146)

Any information to resolve this is apprecated. Thanks :)

Ok so I have given up on the daoc portal and am now trying to use the DOLLoader/launcher program. I am not sure how to work this ive followed what has been said in the other fourms and gotten as far as the game being launched load screen completes then a message "Services not active" or something to the tune of that. I am unable to find some files that have also been mentioned

-If any one has any ideals on the DAoC portal that would be great, if not I will try the DOL more tonight (CST) and see what I come up with, I am currently in the process of removing every thing dealing with DAoC, Uth, Portal, DOL.
