well i finaly decided to try out this game hehe
but sadly i got this problem and cant play it..
i downloaded and installed everything, got the launcher and edited all the things in it
i launch the game, get connected and make a character
but when i try to get ingame with my character the client allways crashes
maybe im doing something wrong?

I think the Tutorial is not working.
Make sure you unchecked the Tutotial before entering the game.
I may be wrong, just try it to make sure.

Do you have forgotten to uncheck the tutorial?

What expansion are you trying to start? Maybe your system is not good enough for it? Also, try to get the most current driver for your video adapter and make sure you are using Direct X 9c...

hmm ok .. turning off tutorial didnt help..still cashes
my computer is good enough to start the game im sure about that
and i doubt that i have some problem with my drivers because everything else seems to work fine.. unless the game has some issues with the driver im using >.>

Maybe you're trying to connect to the game with an old version of it. Have you updated the game with the camelot.exe?

If your PC is good enough, you're doing something wrong. Give us what you've done till now in details. We should be able to answer you that way.

hmm well i downloaded the client.. the 2gb+ one (catacombs i belive)
then i got the darkness rising client and installed it..so basicaly thats all i did
and well set up the launcher

and as i said i can make a character but when i try to go ingame i get a black loading screen then in a couple of seconds the music starts looping and i get a n error (the usual windows thing when a program crashes)

Do you still have that Catacombs installation on your PC? So instead of trying to connect with Darkness Rising could you switch back to the previous Catacombs directory and try to launch from there?

nope i dont have catacombs.. didnt realy expect that i would need it.. it said that i need the darkness rising so i got it..
so gues that means i have to download catacombs again?..

You can use all expansions to connect to the server, although at least Trials of Atlantis is recommended. It would be interesting to see if the same login problem exists e.g. with Catacombs.

If you have enough free disk space on your computer you could copy/backup your Darkness Rising installation and then downgrade to Catacombs by editing the update.dat in the proper directory.

well i didnt realy remove darkness rising.. i downgraded and then instaled it again and now it works
gues the client didnt update right or something
