This is probally a easy problem but im just not seeing the solution...

I installed V1.04 from my CD then found out that you needed V1.03 to play so i downloaded a europian client and deleted the V1.04. But whenever i try to connect when the connecting screen comes up it says V1.04 and then gives the 3 Retrys and dosent connect. What should I do?

I think you are not supposed to play with 1.84.
If you want to make sure everything works ok, use 1.83.
To make sure you have Version 1.83, you have to modify your update.bat file, so it gets the update files from the european GOA Servers and not from the US Mythic servers.

The wrong number being displayed when starting shouldn't cause a problem when connecting. (It seems that something was left over when uninstalling your previous version, though.)

No matter - you actually should be able to use 1.84 for connecting to Uthgard. Just note that this is only rough basic support (as displayed in the changelog). There is absolutely no guarantee that you can use all functionality (spells, crafting, etc.) when playing with 1.84. You should still try to get 1.83 running for reducing possible errors.

Did you check that the game tries to connect to the correct IP (81.169.136.116)? I don't want to offend you but in most cases this error is caused by incorrectly editing your connect.bat. You have to replace the last line

in this file by the line posted by Baldrug. All other lines in this file are only instructions and thus irrelevant. The files from the ZIP file should best be placed in a subdirectory under your DAoC directory.
