how does damage ad work? values don't scale with damage and have even gotten higher DA on a lower damage hit. current toon is a thane.
thank you in advance. |

Having DA increases your damage per swing. Maybe you got a new weapon with a smaller delay last time you upped and therefore youre getting lower da-values per hit.

no, these values are with the same weapon against the same mobs.

Then youve increased your quickness therefore increased your combatspeed.

don't think i'm being clear. values changed during a fight...my equipment was the same and i was solo without pots. i'll try and take a screen shot and post.
so i'm safe to assume DA should scale with style damage? |

DA scales with your weapon, your quickness and enemy resists.

Of what i tested on uthgard for Dmg Adds, it works like this. It does listed dmg x weapon delay for max possible dmg and listed dmg x actual swing speed after qui/haste for min possible dmg and minus resists. And the damage add will very between the two. So for example a 9.4 damage add with a 3.9 spd weapon with a effective swing speed of 2.5 would do
Max = 9.4 x 3.9 = 37 - 26% resist = 27 damage add (Max) Min = 9.4 x 2.5 = 24 - 26% resist = 18 damage add (Min) So the damage add will do 27 to 18 dmg or something in between. |

If you are an alb or hib who dual wields your swing speed may change if you have a different speed offhand than main. Your swing speed will be the average of the two when your offhand fires. Wouldn't be an issue with a thane unless you were changing from 1 to 2H or something.
