Guarantee Uthgard will save my characters?

I've had server issues where I lost characters etc. or during patch updates. I'd be happy to spend a few dollars to have character backups if that is the case. Is there any way to save your toon to your own PC?

nixian Forum Moderator Posts: 5450 Joined: May 19, 2006 00:00	Reply with quote by nixian » Feb 09, 2010 23:01 no there isn't but there is backups very often on uthgard worst case ive ever heard was 1-2 days roll back which is on VERY VERY rare occasions and on our old server so you should be fairly safe that you wont loose your toon during my 5 or more years on uth I have never had any lost characters or progress

Musikus Phoenix Knight Posts: 1753 Joined: Jul 22, 2007 00:00 Location: Achau (bei Wien)	Reply with quote by Musikus » Feb 09, 2010 23:05 i remember only 2 roll-backs in the last 5 years i am around.. 1 caused from a server crash an no back up from last 3 days..since this days there is a daily server restart + additional data-saving and the second caused from a bug with got abused and no GM were online to shut down server..this problem resulted in a 6 hour roll back. if there were more i was not affected from them, but i doubt.
