I downloaded the LOtM installer and when the Mythic updater goes through the first little 147kb download thing, instead of going on to the big download, it says:
"Error message (308), Cannot update Patch utility, wait awhile and try connecting again. If you still cannot connect, check your internet settings"

I helped my two brothers download and it went fine for them, maybe it has something to do with vista? Any help would be very much appreciated.

What Windows are you running ?

Few days ago i had same problem with WIN7 . . . even when running as administrator ... there is some issue that WIN7 is not leting you overwrite the camelot.exe , so change camelot.exe to something else : i did camelot1.exe .... run it .. it gets you the new camelot.exe and you should be done :)

You can delete the "camelot1.exe" afterwards and start using the new camelot.exe :)

Hope it fixes your problem :)

That problem should only arise if you install the game into the system's program files folder... new "security measure", apparently. If nothing else helps, try to install the game into a non-system folder, such as x:/games/Dark Age of Camelot - Whateverclientname (replacing x: by your desired HDD letter, of course).
