Ive had it for a while, no matter what client, fresh install or anything. Ever since i bought new computer daoc have run with studder lag, everytime i do any action, like hold a spell, press a style... etc - if i press "tab" to hide entire UI, i dont get lag... - its like its something to do with chat windows?

If anyone know anyhting about this please reply!

some UIs support different Font types for the Chat window. Bobs Ui for example distinguishes between "new" and "classic" fonts, of which the former are known to cause sluggish performance on some machines.

Aight, so Bob's is the one to go for?

I just changed the font without using a custom ai. It solved the stuttering/lag problem for me. The new fonts are anti-aliased and can cause a lot of lag.

Bob's UI has full customization for just about everything ... it's pretty crazy but gives you absolutely full control on how you want things on your screen to look like. Highly recommended, albeit the installation is massive (1 GB).

It comes with a configuration tool (option chooser), divided into different sections (pet window, group window, etc etc). Just mark whatever feature you want to enable and relog / change zone.
