hey,
ich wollte mal fragen ob es nicht besser wäre die deutsche startseite zu deaktivieren? die news dort sind nun knapp 1 jahr alt und schrecken ganz sicher neue spieler extrem ab... so geschehen bei einem bekannten bei mir, dem ich erst mal verständlich machen musste das diese news seite einfach nur ungepflegt ist  meint ihr nicht auch das dies besser wäre? gruß |

So habe die Übersetzungen mal abgeschaltet. Interessant wieviel Performance es die Webseite gekostet hat. Jetzt ist der Aufruf der Seite schneller.

Sorry für die kritik ... Es gibt jedoch nen Haufen spieler welche der englischen Sprache nicht mächtig sind oder nur bedingt beherrschen ... Finde es schade das "Deutsch" gekillt wird ... Wird sicher auch spieler geben die nicht auf uthgard spielen werden weil se denken englisch only - nee kann ich ned , spiel ich also ned.
Oder is das taktik ? Durch das close vom de bugreport eckchen habter sicher weniger arbeit wie vorher oder ?  Im übrigen hast du durch das abschalten des übersetzers ( süß, multilanguage gms und ihr braucht nen tool um news zu übersetzen ? Selber machen is viel schöner! ) bei allen usern welche de benutzten nun für nen 404 gesorgt .. fraglich ist ob die user so schlau sind und einfach aus der url das rot markierte, uthgard.net/de/forum/ , entfernen ,) |

Ich denke es liegt eher an dem Aufwand mehrere Sprachen gleichzeitig zu warten -- 90% der Spielinhalte selber (Quests, ..) sind aus diesem Grund nunmal auch alle auf Englisch. Eine News in einer Sprache kann ein GM alleine posten; will man diesen nun noch nach Deutsch und Franzoesisch uebersetzen, so braucht man gleich drei Personen fuer .. Geht alles von der Zeit ab, die zum Bugfixen & Worldbuilden verwendet werden kann!  |

und englisch ist seit mind. 1964 ein pflichtfach, sind den hier soviele alte menschen xD? |

Ouch .. dann frag ich mich wieso die rr5 ra vom theurgen seit 2009 nich gefixt wird  Magste ihn selbst rein werfen kroko ?  Ja platü, bin wieder nen Jahr älter .. englisch hatte ich damals zur schulzeit .. lang lang is diese scho her ^^ |

Die Franzosen oder Italiener könnten das gleiche sagen. Es gibt keinen triftigen Grund eine Sonderbehandlung für Deutsche durchzuziehen. Es ist für uns Overhead der aufgrund der Internationalität des Servers nicht gerechtfertigt ist. Es gibt sicher Leute die Englisch verstehen und es euch erklären können was da steht.

nach den ewigen flamewars von heartace und co in der kaffeerunde wollen wir doch einfach mal hoffen, dass er nicht ganz so alt ist. das wäre doch ganz arg traurig  |
