Uthgard unter Ubuntu Linux (11.04) natty

hi,
Ich wolte heute Uthgard auf Ubuntu zum laufen bekommen. Also Ubuntu installiert, Mono und Wine drauf. Alles keine Thema. Endlos gewartet um den Client von der Windows Kiste übers Netz zu ziehen. Das selbe mit DAoCPortal. In Wine die game.dll eingetragen und Pixewlshader deaktiviert.
eingegeben. Läuft! Übrigens ist Portal im selben Verzeichnis wie der DAoC. Uthagard ausgewählt acc und pw eingegeben. Dann dass
Kann mir nun jemand weiterhelfen? Wie bekomm ich die game.dll gestartet? Und es war nichts mit quicklogins. Gibt es dazu einen enabler? Danke schon mal  mfg England

Der Backslash ist vielleicht ein Problem. Ich würde auch nicht Punkt verwenden sondern den kompletten Pfad angeben.

auf abeit spiel ich auch immer unter linux (fedora) und wine...mono hab ich keins drauf und .net geht aucht nicht über wine, weshalb ich direkt den dolloader starter
 ...also etwa so "wine .wine/drive_c/Programme/daoc/dolloader.exe C:\\Pfad\\von\\game.dll 88.198.56.21 10300 1 acc pass char realmbei mir klappts und im windows zuhause mach ich das inzwischen genauso  |

Nur wie lange noch. Auf absehbare Zeit wird der direkte dolloader Connect nicht mehr supported werden. Es muss also eine Lösung für Daocportal her. It's done when it's done. Thanks for your patience.

Ich nutze den seit 5 Jahren und bin sehr zufrieden damit, warum sollte man das jetzt ändern? Ok die Passwortsicherheit ist vielleicht nicht die beste ^^. MfG Luydor |

Warum bitte soll der direkte Connect nicht mehr supportet (=abgeschafft) werden? Weil dass Password auf meinem System im Klartext abgelegt ist?
Wie wird das eigentlich übertragen? Es ist auch wohl der einzige Weg um mit Linux zu Connecten. |

Weil wir mehr Kontrolle über den Client benötigen. DAoCPortal muss sicherstellen dass die richtigen Mods installiert sind und der Client nicht modifiziert wurde. Früher oder später wird es auch Autoupdates bei Serverconnect geben, so wie es bei Mythic Standard ist.
Mit DAoCPortal von Linux aus zu connecten sollte kein Problem sein wenn die Pfade richtig eingestellt sind. It's done when it's done. Thanks for your patience.

hab mal das hier probiert. ich hoffe Ihr kommt mit dem English im deutschen Forum klar
 hi, i get a popup windows "executable not found check first parameter". dolloader and game.dll are in the same dir tried this line sven@sven-HP-625:~/.wine/drive_c/Programme/DarkAgeofCamelot$ wine dolloader.exe "\game.dll" 88.198.56.21 10300 *snip* mfg England

Ja, das funktioniert ganz wunderbar - jedoch soll das ja genau abgestellt werden - wenn ich hier jetzt nicht etwas mistverstehe.
Soviel ich auch suche - ich bekomme nur diese Lösung. Portal.exe bekomme ich mit mono nicht ansatzweise zum laufen. Mal schauen was die Zukunft bringt. Auf jeden Fall kein Windows nur für Daoc |

mono Connect.exe with appropriate args should work fine though (It did so on some older Ubuntu versions). But this will require you to setup all .exe to be opened with wine per default.
Have a look at the DAoC Portal forums. I created a thread about using DAoCPortal with mono some time ago -- It should still be floating around there somewhere. Be nice. :)

ich hab mich an WineHQ gehalten. Mit winetricks dot net bis 3.5 installiert. Neuestes wine enthält Q4wine-> also einfach Dateimanager deiner Wahl öffnen zum Portal browsen und anclicken. Läuft
Mit einer Verknüpfung hapert es noch. Wäre schon klasse das Neue Unity mit einem DAoC Icon.  Greetings vom good old Germany to Google/USA. nice coding and a beatiful summer. It might be Important to have a bath from case to case  mfg England
