Hello All!

Just switched from Alb to Hib because I've been an Alb player all my years of DAOC and wanted to change things up.

Was looking at making a warden for some solo some group RVR/PvE and came up with a spec that I figured I would get some input on.

49N/26R/34B/10P

This gives you the highest of all Nurture resists, a solid 244 heal with the better resurrect and the 2nd fatigue reduction as well as a side 2 chain AS reduction and a 4 sec off block stun. I realize the anytime AS reduction may be better for solo, but I was attempting to make a hybrid spec.

Comments?

That's the spec I'm going.

It is certainly a viable spec. At higher realm ranks you always have the option to compensate the lower Regrowth spec by investing points into Aug Dex / Wild Healing / Mastery of Healing to boost your healing output when playing in full groups. I ran this spec in Uthgard 1.0 and it worked nicely.

That's the best all-around spec imo. You can go 49 nurt 33 reg 29 weapon 3 parry as well. I wish I would have tested in beta the differences on healing and weapon damage with those 2 specs.

My favorite warden spec is

49 Nurture
16 Regrowth
39 Blades or Blunt
rest parry

Back when I played on live 01-03 there was always a debate among Wardens about how to spec. Some went high melee, some went high regrowth, most did a middle spec. I believe the above spec is best, especially since you said you want to be able to solo a bit.

49 Nurture seems like a waste of points to me, or more specifically going higher then 46 nurture seems like a waste as all you get for 47, 48 and 49 are 8 more resists to 2 fairly uncommon damage lines (spirit + energy) and a 4% self haste. 46 gets you everything that's more or less "required" IMO, and you can dump those other points into melee or rejuve for higher returns.

Re-rolling from Alb... I'm going to either be trying:

46 Nurt
44 Blunt (after rear style)
16 Regrow
5 parry

Or...

46 Nurt
39 Blades
16 Regrow
19 Parry

Which has no points left over, (which my OCD-ness with spec points loves).

I've been told mez + stun reductions are not effected by resists, just straight on spells...

You may want to double check this line of thinking, (or I've heard wrong).

You heard clearly wrong there. Resists affect cc duration, dots and dd spells damage.

That is only partly correct:

The enemy's primary mezzers use energy mezz (sorcerer) resp. body mezz (healer).

Only some of the secondary mezzers use spirit mezz, notably the air theurgist.

This being said there is no reason to not hat 49 nurture for +24% energy resis as this will clearly help your grp a lot.

I want to see the tests on this, or the documentation on the resists effecting CC duration. On the Alb side of things there was a very interesting discussion about this in the Alliance chat the other night, and conflicting reports.

Yes the Mythic grab bag for 1.50 said that resists effected durations, but I'm curious if that's ACTUALLY the case here or not. There's been no definitive testing done for purposes of proving it's active here, just people claiming heresay in regards to it.
