I'm a new player, currently level 11.

I just found out about the AT strategy but can no longer do it on my character. Is this going to gimp me later on? Is it worth rerolling?

Hi Candica,

I wouldn't say it would gimp you - but who doesn't love free points?

Level 11 should only take you a few hours to get to, so personally I'd advise rerolling whilst you're still early on just to make the most of your character in the long-run :)

The difference between an AT Ranger and a non-AT one is about 2 or 3 points in Stealth.

Hi,

using AT results in the following:

on lower levels you wont notice allot. Bow does decent dmg and when using PF specline your ranger is strong even mellee.

When you hit 20.
This is where you start to notice your bow dmg is bad.. and can only get yellows to about 50-60% befor they hit you.
(This is when you have good gear! When you have crappy gears closer to 70%). Now the PF line and mellee spec allows you to finish mob of. But allot of downtime.

What helps is having some +recurve stats from items.. my advice is do your epics and search for OTD's.

Does AT give you allot of pain and frustration? yes! is it worth it? Yes. Should you reroll? My advice: Yes

tip: if u can get alchemy to about 700 ish. (not that expensive!)
and craft s/c buffs and mending buffs. you should be able to chain yellows no problem with AT.

I'd suggest rerolling if you are only 11. It's worth it and honestly you won't even really notice the lesser bow damage as you are leveling up. Just make sure you are always using a good bow for your level and you'll be fine

AT isn't painful or frustrating. My level 39 AT ranger can get orange cons to 20% on AT bow. Bow damage has always been disgustingly high for such low bpw. Definitely AT.
