45 Bow
42 PF for best shield
25 Pierc for evade stun
38-37 Stealth, depends of rr(i guess you will be atleast 2l0)
Rest Celtic Dual
Best Sniper Ranger on Uthgard since 2007.

PF is quite useless, since Uthgard 2.0 should have nerfed buff values and charges are better. (1.69 change)
The AF shield works like a base AF buff and adds ~10 armor.
No Side stun will turn you into the bait in a stealth grp and you die first, that's basically the gaming experience for a ranger ^^
Except for zerging a bow ranger won't work, rather roll scout/hunter for shield/back stun - crit shot - crit shot and hope the enemey is dead before the stun wears off.

I think what Celteen means is that you can get better buffs using charges than specing in PF

Pathfinding is far from useless. Yeah sure, if you want to spend tons of gold recharging your frigging item constantly, you can get a slightly better dex/quick buff from a charge. Your charge also lasts only 10 minutes vs. 20 for the PF buff which means you're gonna have to break stealth to reapply it twice as often. There's only 5 charges per item which means you are either going to need to carry multiple items around or recharge that sucker once per hour. No thanks.

Furthermore, the difference between the +75 charge and the PF buff is less than the tooltip indicates because your buffs become more powerful with higher PF spec. For instance, I have 30 PF right now and my dex/qui buff delves at 33 but actually gives me 41 dex/qui.

You're also dismissing the other buffs which is silly (although you're right about the AF buff.) The damage add is a healthy amount of extra damage and is especially useful in melee since you are a dual wielder (for a ranger with low melee skills they will probably get almost as much damage from the DA as they do from their weapons.) The strength buff is also useful as well even for a heavy bow spec unless you like getting snared/rooted from str/con debuffs.

Now all that said, I do agree with you that I wouldn't go heavy bow spec unless you plan on running with the zerg mostly because with See Hidden in the game, you often won't get a chance to open with a bow shot.

Stealth wars boils down to who got the most buffs up at that time so you better run charges ^^
Low PF for the damage add and speed won't be too bad, but the D/Q is by far too gimp. :P

So, accepting that PF is worthless; where do you put the points and why? How does that compare to a Hunter following the same rational?
