What do the extra points that go into nurture do?

For example, at L50, if I'm specced 42 in nurture, and I have a +8 bonus to nurture, what do those extra 8 points do? I would assume it either makes my existing buffs give more (con buff delves for x, but really gives x+8 or something), or it just gives me additional concentration so that I can hand out more buffs... But I'm not sure...

Also, if I template out to +11, do the extra 3 points over 50 do anything?

I guess what I'm asking is this: Is there any reason at all to put bonus points in nurture into my template?

- nurture always caps at 50
- it increases you base buffs, no effect on specs
- you can build it into you template but it's in the luxurious-and-not-really-needed-category
- no question in this forum has been answered more often than this one
