Anyone feeling generous on this? I would love to see what a bard's keybinds look like. I'm really trying here but holy crap it's a lot a stuff to make accessible at your fingertips.

I was doing OK until I wanted to find a way to work in bard twisting while staying on page 1 of my spell line up.

How do you twist, and be completely ready for:

cast mezzing
insta mezzing
healing
cure mez/disease
shout
interrupt

Would love to see some bards keybind setups to see if just missing something.

Yes, I'm using qbinds, it's still a lot

F1-F4 for twisting
q shout
e demezz
y disease heal
rest is on normal quickbar

i strafe with a and d and move around with right mouse button

Thinkin about using X for combat mode and swap instants around when they re on CD.

You can put your instruments/song on lets say 1-4 on bar1/page2 and qbind them for.example to F1-F4 and only show page 1 for you. I would advise to have instru/songs somewhere visible too since you might swap to flute/pom on rare occasion (given 1bard setup) which can quite mess you up if you dont keep a bit of track on your current instru/song setup.

Twisting is then: r -> Shift + R -> t -> Shift + T -> repeat

I click on toolbar for potions and charges (power, endu, AF).

F1 : Stick
F2 : Sprint
F3 : Face
F4 : Toggle Attack

resting thumb on Alt and hitting q-w a-s q-w a-s etc.
Drum : Alt+Q - Endo Song - Alt+W

i know i should be binding Q+E or A+D but every time i try i fatfinger them... so have turn and strafe bound to default...

That logic you made my day!

Qbinds are for doing things as quickly as possible without looking your qbar or keybard and with less movment. Even keys like "5" that requires a little stretch are not that useful for abilities you need to react instantly. While running with "w" pressing F3 with your index finger, then using the same finger on "r" is not practical. F3 > Shift+Q for ae mezz is even worse. With those kind of qbinds you can react as quickly as a clicker... which makes your qbinds kinda pointless.

also have single mezz on X^^ my keys are from ooold habids, and bards are simple

I only do use 1 Quickbar, but all 10 sub-bars (Shift + 1-10) of it.
1-6 = Left Hand
8-10 = Right Hand on mouse

Additionally, I do use the same setup on all classes and MMOGs.
Each slot has a fixed role to me, so I do not change behavior.

I started bard back before qbinds were around so I got used to something a little crazy. 1-5 on all my bars varied, but 6-0 were all the same and were my RAs or specialty buttons that didn't need to be pressed very often

Bar 1 = healing / PVE bar (1 = small base heal, 2 = ST Mezz, 3 = big baseline heal, 4 = cure disease, 5 = cure mezz)

Bar 2 = Mezzing Bar (1 = DD Shout, 2 = casted AE Mezz, 3 = AOE Amnesia, 4 = ST Amnesia. 5 = cure mezz)

Bar 3 = buffing bar (1-4 =base buffs)

Bar 4 = Instrament bar (1 = 2handed slot, 2 = ranged slot, 3 = speed, 4 = endo, 5 = power)


I've since moved bar 2's shout to r and put ST insta there and bound my AOE insta to spacebar and my RAs to others (x = purge, b = AM)

but I fully admit that it's only ages of practice swapping bars that makes that style work, if I had started bars after qbinds it'd likely be much different.
