It depends on how much effect the skald dmg add has against high lvl mobs. I remember early on in beta it worked very well when we killed Evern but later when they changed the encounter it was nerfed. I'm not sure if they changed how dmg adds work against all high lvl encounters or if it was just Evern.

What other classes would be good for endgame raids and pvp?

As far as raiding goes, most classes will usually get a spot unless it's a really tightly organised setup that is being built. In which case the safe options in my opinion would be;
Warrior
Zerk
Savage
Shaman
Healer
Runemaster

I'd say that these classes are pretty much needed for most content.

Skald should be very useful for dragonraids.
Fast speed for your supports to get out of stare-radius
Your instaDD to catch adds that may try to leave the lair and call for help.
Dmg-add never hurts, unless there is RM with strong dmgadd that wanna rebuff every few minutes
Also the running to the dragonlair. Maybe people will try to dodge all mobs on the way to the lair and run with speed 5+ sprint to get there asap... but that is just a guess :)

100% Legit...
IMO Skald dmg add + RM dmg add is MUST have for DF/DR raids.

They were stacking for the first few months in beta, not sure if it was changed.

Sounds good. That will be the Skalds right to exist especially for PVE.
