Did anyone already think about their uthgard 2.0 shadowblade spec ?(low RR) (with hopefully correct weaponskill/defence penetration)

i was thinking of 2 specs : - High LA shadow-zerk spamming Doublefrost
Envenom : 36
Stealth : 36
Sword : 36
Left Axe : 46
CS : 21 (just to open sometimes)


-CS/sword/LA spamming garrot-hachilles' heel (since i heard CS styles got a better growth rate than LA styles in uth 1.0)
Envenom : 36
Stealth : 36
Critical Strike : 39
Left Axe : 29
Sword : 39 (because of the 39 chain style stun)


maybe those 2 specs are just too terribad (i never played SB)

What do you guys will do ? (sorry for mi bad englando)

First one, you also got the after evade stun in 39 LA.

Frost Cut (-> Niord's Fury) is an after block styl, sb's didn't have a shield normally.

I think the stun was comeback/frosty glaze. Fg is the 39 style in LA iirc. It was 6 or 7 seconds I forget.

Is a 2 Handed Axe spec gimping a Shadowblade? I know you cant use as many poisons, but surely the damage output can make up for it with a 2 hander?

Shadowblade was my first stealther and with much testing and trying different specs its damn tough given the spec points.

2hd shadowblade dps i believe will be quite poor vs another stealther aswing speed will be forever.

After 10 years experience knowing poison is an must have with a few 100 weapons in the back pac i think I may try the following spec at rr4

Think i will be using sword styles with the la evade stun chain and ragnorack with 2hd. I need to see how this works. I remember back in the old days i managed to get main hand hitting for between 200-350 per swing. Mond you though that was patch 1.69...

Yeah I think 40 will be enough because most went 50 poison because of Viper. But, we don't have that anymore so I don't see a point in it anymore. Anyway, I will be testing again when server becomes live and report back here with any findings or improvements I can see.

I'll never spend more points that the ones needed for comp spec on weapon. Either go 50 La or 50Cs but not 50 sword...

I'm curious, as I haven't played DAoC for about 13+ years (few months into New Frontiers) but I used to have it as my eventual main. Right now I'm playing a Zerker though but eventually I wanna make an SB too.


Anyway, back in the days 2hand was the swizzle but I see all these suggested specs include LA. So are you basically PA'ing with a 2hand and then swapping to DW in the actual fights or what's the jist here?

The benefit is that LeftAxe gives you access to a 7-second stun that you would be missing if you specialized for Critblade.

Comeback (after evade; 18 LA) => Frosty Gaze (follow up 7sec stun; 39 LA)

Nobody seem to understand we play 1.65, YOU DONT NEED LA on a critblade ffs.... Seriously i need to make a thread about this, before we get gimped trash sb's roaming RvR.....


SB Critblades were the dominating stealther in 1.65, of all 3 realms, for a reason...
