Greetings to the handful of my fellow followers of Skadi. For those who have chosen to follow the path less traveled, where do you plan on training your skills?

Here is my initial planned level 50 spec. Will respec at RR5.

40 bow - Penetrating Arrow II gives chance to pop a caster through bubble for big damage
39 spear - gives the 5 second rear stun
34 beastcraft - second best speed
39 stealth - easy 50 effective stealth at low RR with template (won't matter against See Hidden assassins)

At RR5 I am thinking something like this

40 bow
44 spear - adds big damage follow up style to the rear stun
32 beast - loses 1 rank of speed
35 stealth - effective 50 with template

Thoughts? What are you planning for spec?

I -MAY- be wrong, but penetrating arrow never pops the 'personal' bladeturn (the one each caster can cast on himself/herself).
It SHOULD (note the capital letters) affect only the bubbles those same caster can cast on other grp members.. and at a reduced effectiveness.
Probably not worth.

That is my understanding as well.

Ahh thanks for the info. Been so many years since I played my original hunter...

In that case, I am looking at changing RR5 spec to:

35 Bow
39 Spear
43 BC
35 Stealth

This is the best spec by far.

42 seems a huge amount of spec points to use for not enough gain IMO I doubt I'll spec beyond 32

Yeah, but more points in spear or bow aren't usefull either, so better some buffs and speed

And just to discuss, with seehidden makes sense ti have High stealth? Ranged with no assassins isn't enought something less the 50?

50 combined stealth always makes sense. Visible can pop you without many problems at 48 - 49 stealth if they run through you, as it may happen from time to time. You are really moving slowly, unlike live server. Stealthers that do have 50 will detect you with a slight advance if you run around even with 47-48 stealth, camo or not camo. I would not recommend any score below 46-47 combined stealth, and even then, it's really risky.

How about more than 50 comp stealth in order to get around in df?

Worth it?

Players can greatly contribute to a server if you let them.

Uthgard, still the best server. Thanks, Devs.

More is useless imo. The stealth mechanic on Uth is a bit broken, higher monsters seem to always detect you at a certain range, unlike live server. So if you need to match a nightmare's level in stealth, good luck with the spec :(

So if stealth is working correctly then a little over 50 does matter?

But just for high level mobs in pve right?

Think i will go:

39 sword
39 stealth
40 bow
34 bc

I dont know. The code here is different, I cannot garantee you that stealth over 50 will work on monsters.
