+Supp / +Dark / +BA on items?

Hey all,
I have not been able to find this information despite google and asking in game... Hoping you can help. What spells do the +Skills item stats (Supp/Dark/BA) affect and how do they affect them? I am trying to template my BD and don't want to include +Skills that aren't necessary. edit* |

It'll affect only damaging spells.
If you never use the darkness DD +darkness will be useless. Otherwise it'll help you 1- to stop the variance when you get 50+ total in the spec, and 2- help you reach the damage cap of your DD. Same goes for all spec even if I'm not 100% sure for BA DoT but shouldnt be different. |
