I came from live. And I've got a guild that will want me to play how they see fit in 8 man, so no worries there. As far as my duo is concerned, I'll play air like I intended. I'm rolling Mid when beta is over anyway.

really enjoyed my ice/earth spec from beta. 41 ice / 35 earth. Gave me a lot of everything I needed. I put 1 point into earth to start leveling to give me bubble b/c I soloed a lot. However, for release I think I am going to wait to get bubble until later. Being an entire level behind for getting new pets is huge for leveling.

Also, what do you guys like as starting stats? I'm preferenced to 15dex/10 int myself. Also going Briton. allows me to not need to maybe put +10con as some might role 10/10/10 if going avalonian. Also, can't beat starting out at Cotswold.

Think I might be repeating what has allready been said, but for the sake of overview, here's what specs that are generally suggested:

Best 8man/best PvE Raiding/dia-farming:
48Earth
24Ice OR 24Air --> I must say that I'd prefer Ice here for better Nukes)

Best Solo/smallman RvR:
46Air
28Earth

Bit of both of the above
41Ice
35Earth

For solo PvE-farming (should you wanan circle nameds in Dartmoor ever), they all work reasonably well.

Am not against ice/earth tools in RvR.

If you go full earth with only earth pet, you expose your rupt potential to be annihilated with 1 ae dd or pbae.
While a mix 2/1 earth ice is more difficult to clear from your supports.
(Ranged & Melee rupts seems better than a single pack of melee pets.)

Snare DD can be good to have also.

Btw, are theurg pet damage still too high ?
Didn't test again the past few months. But it was fun to have blue earth pet hitting luri caster for 600+
Even level 60 charmed pet hits 300&less.

Are the earthlords worth to spec? Also Skin of Diamond drains so much power... :hammer:
Also which Ra's are prior? Is Long Wind still a thing? How about lw1, dex3, acuity2, purge and serenity3?

Aiming for PVE and PVP

it's been my experience that 35 earth is enough for everything you need to do. you get PBT, and 35 is as strong a pet as you need. Nothing really increases with pets past that point except a some hp/dmg which honestly is not worth it unless you solely want to cast pets.

if you just want to do pets, go 48 earth. If you want to have uses outside of casting 7-8 pets and waiting for power, go 35 earth which will grant you enough to do everything a PvE group will want and a PvP group will want and then you can still have fun and in my opinion be more useful in general.

Although I am also biased b/c I love my 41/35 spec and have dominated with it in all aspects of the game. In the end, play what you think is fun, because thats really what it's about.

Is speccing 41 into ice worth? Will this improve the ice pets?
I thought about going 41 ice and 35 earth for the second pbt.

I had a theurgist on Uthgard 1.0 and now with 2.0 gave the ice pets amazing upgrade on AI. Max lvl ice pets are very nice to consider not going 48 earth. Also having a range/melee rupt is harder to clear as well than straight melee.

Specs I like the best are below:

Fast earth pets and max level stun pets with a decent low mana cost wind DD (28 spec 133D 17PP) and a 23 sec aoe mez with enough ice for the 30 sec aoe root.
40 earth
32 wind
16 ice

Same as above but higher wind nuke but now only a 15 sec aoe root, the spec above I like better because aoe root is actully worth using.
40 earth
36 wind
4 Ice

Red PBT (huge mana bill more for pve as it would hamper your pet spam in RVR IMO) and max level ice pets with 36 aoe root and 14 sec aoe mez.
45 earth
26 ice
14 wind

Fastest earth pets along with red PBT and better swing debuff. 36 sec aoe root and 14 sec aoe mez.
48 earth
20 ice
14 wind

Now being level 43 all I have is 40 earth 1 ice 4 wind with 200 unspent, will have to choose soon.
